The Origins of O8
Initially, we called ourselves "Origin Eight" as a play on words for "originate." Also, the number 8 could be flipped around like an infinity symbol. We wanted to create infinitely original solutions for our clients.
Over time, our clients kept calling us "O8", which matched our logo, so we listened. Our name-as-a-logo is a slight nod to our state's beloved Prince and his love symbol.
Our Founder's Story
Our Founder and CEO, Seth Viebrock, built his first web design business at the age of 16 in the 90's when the internet was still coming together. He would walk into businesses and ask, "do you need a website?" and the answer tended to be "oh, probably — we've heard of those!"
After a good amount of time in the business word, he decided it was time to do better — wanting to follow best practices, constant improvement, and better processes. It was at that point that he founded O8 in 2010.
Seth's formal and continuous education has been in economics, biopsychology, human behavior, marketing, sales, and all things digital — UX, SEO, CRO, messaging, HubSpot, neuromarketing.... O8 grew into a technical digital marketing agency naturally with Seth leading not just the company but the strategy, the culture, and the good-natured, smart people that make O8 what it is today.
