Cory Docken

Cory Docken is the VP of Business Development at O8. He works with prospective clients, advising on digital strategy and O8 solutions to help them solve their biggest marketing and growth challenges.

Cory's journey began with a solid foundation in design, culminating in a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Minnesota State Moorhead. His early career saw him thrive at a Twin Cities branding firm, where he collaborated with industry giants like Cargill and Boston Scientific, earning recognition through numerous awards. As an Art Director at a global employee engagement agency, Cory extended his expertise to Fortune 500 companies in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and retail. This experience not only sharpened his creative acumen but also deepened his understanding of communications and campaign development.

Cory's move to business development took him to the role of Account Executive with a software development firm, contributing significantly to its growth by securing key accounts with industry leaders such as Home Depot, 3M, and Ecolab. Venturing into the realms of healthcare and financial services, Cory excelled in business development with an agency, further expanding his skill set and industry knowledge. 

His commitment to professional development and leadership is underscored by his involvement with professional associations such as the Minnesota Health Strategy and Communication Network (MHSCN), where he not only served on the board of directors but also assumed the role of past president. Currently, Cory is the President of the Minnesota chapter of the American Marketing Association. 

He enjoys spending time with his two daughters, cooking, playing guitar, practicing yoga, and playing left wing for Bold North, an AHA league hockey team.
