Melinda Pettijohn
I grew up with technology in my DNA—my dad built computers for fun, and our home was one of the first on the block with Internet access. As a kid, I created basic websites and graphics to share my interests with friends. At the time, I had no idea those early projects would lay the groundwork for a career I’m passionate about today.
My journey into marketing started with writing. I’ve always been a fast, efficient communicator, so I initially pursued journalism. But during college, an internship at an SEO agency changed everything. I discovered how my love for writing could combine with business strategy to create tangible results for clients—and I never looked back.
Over the last decade, I’ve built a career helping businesses communicate smarter and work more efficiently. I specialize in email marketing, marketing automation, and strategic planning, and I bring hands-on expertise with tools like Salesforce + Pardot, Zapier, and HubSpot. My background also includes co-owning an agency and working as a marketing consultant across industries, so I understand how to align creative ideas with measurable outcomes.
I hold a master’s degree in marketing from the University of Denver and have developed strategies for clients ranging from large enterprises to small businesses. Whether it’s crafting targeted email campaigns, designing scalable marketing processes, or consulting on content and SEO strategies, my focus is always on driving impact.
Currently, I’m the Client Marketing Manager at O8, where I help clients maximize their resources and achieve their goals. I’m hands-on and results-driven, always ensuring that strategies are actionable, aligned with client objectives, and deliver real value. I approach every project with a balance of creativity and technical expertise, tailoring solutions that meet clients where they are.
Outside of work, I’m a bookworm (I aim for at least 100 books a year!), a passionate cook, and a dance instructor. I also enjoy scrapbooking and card-making—creative outlets that help me step away from screens and recharge. Dance, especially, gives me the space to think creatively and often sparks new ideas for my work.
I’m also deeply committed to my community. I volunteer to help address food insecurity because I believe food is more than just sustenance—it’s love, fuel, and a foundation for thriving. Whether in marketing or in life, my goal is to create meaningful connections and lasting impact.
